It’s a new year, and it’s hard not to hope we will see you. I can’t tell you how much we think about you, talk about you – wondering what you are doing, what you look like now that you are almost 12! And talking about things we’ve done with you. We still have pictures of you all over the house and, of course, on our phones.
Max is getting so old and gray – we got him right before you were born, December 2013 – so 12 years now – meaning he is probably 14 or 15. We’ve had Blue since 2015, making that 10 years, and he is 11. He was also born in 2014, as far as we understand. Scruffy is still Scruffy – and probably 7. Anyway, of course, Blue sleeps through the fireworks, poor Max hides under the covers with me. Scruffy looks nervous but doesn’t shake like Max.
I hope you are doing okay – I keep losing track of what grade you are in now. I wish you knew how much we talk about you and all the things we did with you, from princesses, the rocket, the pumpkin patch, making cookies, and only some of it getting into the oven.
Gosh – I am so sad that I am not seeing you growing up now. You are always welcome to come visit anytime. We love you.
Love, Nana Shelley
